Bulbs for Bucks
Bucks County’s natural beauty is boosted even more through the efforts of residents who plant fall bulbs in anticipation of spring blooms. Daffodils are the flower of choice and as of last fall, 1.1 million had been planted in highly visible locations throughout Lower, Central and Upper Bucks County.
The dedicated diggers are supporters of Bucks Beautiful, an organization formed by Robert & Joyce Byers. The Byers’ established Bucks Beautiful after a tour of Europe where they saw how town centers featured beautiful gardens, fostering great community pride. In addition to the daffodil effort, Bucks Beautiful offers special events, educational presentations, and more for local gardeners and those who enjoy the sights, smells, color and comfort of flowers.
