The Bridges of Plumstead Township
If you’d like to live in an area alive with history, consider beautiful Plumstead Township. In addition to gorgeous landscapes and historical buildings, this area boasts two covered bridges, offering beautiful daily reminders of days gone by. Cabin Run Covered Bridge stretches across Cabin Run Creek, named for the area’s early concentration of log cabins and small stone houses. Look for the bridge on the appropriately named Covered Bridge Road! Another beauty is the Loux Covered Bridge on Wismer Road. Constructed of hemlock, the bridge is nestled in a small, scenic valley. Winter is a beautiful time to tour this lovely area – and to cross a bridge into history.
